The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship 2010

The scholarship aims to encourage and promote women to excel in computing

and technology, and become active role models and leaders. Applicants should be

women students entering their final year of a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s or

PhD programme or equivalent, in 2010/11, in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa.

They should be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics,

or a closely related technical field and have an excellent academic record.

The selected finalists will each receive a €7,000 (or equivalent) scholarship for the

2010/11 academic year. In June 2010, they will also be invited to visit Google’s

Engineering Centre in Zurich and have the chance to follow workshops with a

series of speakers, panels, breakout sessions and social activities. This will allow

them to meet and share their experiences.

 

The deadline to send the application form and requested documentations is 1st February 2010.
