Google Europe Scholarship for Students with Disabilities

This scholarship is designed for students with disabilities who are pursuing

university degrees in the field of computer science at a university anywhere in the

European Union, plus Switzerland and Israel. It aims to help dismantle barriers

that prevent students with disabilities from entering computing, encourage them

to excel in their studies and become active role models and leaders in creating

programme that supports the modernisation of higher education in the partner

countries of the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, North Africa

and the Middle East. It contributes to creating an area of cooperation in the field

The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship 2010

The scholarship aims to encourage and promote women to excel in computing

and technology, and become active role models and leaders. Applicants should be

women students entering their final year of a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s or

PhD programme or equivalent, in 2010/11, in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa.

They should be studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics,

or a closely related technical field and have an excellent academic record.

Trafo Youth Information Competition
Date: 07/12/2009

Trafo is a new information website addressed to young Europeans where you can
find articles, videos and photos, on different issues such as local projects, travel
stories, opinions.
Trafo is inviting all young people up to 30 years of age to join its competition.
Participants will just have to create a post, a video, a text or photos, in one of
these categories: “Shout it out”, “Do as I do ”, “How I got from A to B” and have
the chance to win prizes. Participants can send as many posts as they want
without limitation until 31 January 2010.
