Spring Day for Europe 2010

Posted on 09/03/2010

The eighth edition of Spring Day for Europe has just been launched. Running from 22 March until the end of June 2010, the campaign brings Europe closer to its young citizens.
Spring Day for Europe encourages meetings between students, teachers, and key institutional or social personalities. Spring Day is an opportunity for young people to discuss today’s challenges and help shape Europe’s future. Teachers can book one or more days for Spring Day events.

Spring Day is this year celebrating "Citizenship and Fundamental Rights" as part of Europe’s cultural and social identity.
It is also promoting solidarity and social cohesion in schools, in line with the goals of the European Year of Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.

The Spring Day website is a dynamic platform where teachers can share ideas and find innovative teaching material that helps make Europe a tangible reality.
The portal also facilitates face to face debates between students and special guests who are willing to go "Back to School".
A booking system helps organise visits so that students can share opinions on Europe.
The first 1000 schools to register an event will receive a special event kit!
