Get involved in the European Youth Week 2019

Want to actively be part of European Youth Week 2019? Do you have an event or activity you would like to organise? Whether a youth organisation, a local council, a school or a group of young people - anyone can organise a Youth Week event!

This year’s theme is “Democracy and me” and will take place 29 April - 5 May 2019. It is an ideal opportunity to reflect on active citizenship and the participation of young people in the decision-making process for policies that affect everyone.

Democracy is a value that we may take for granted, but we have developed and nurtured it for years. It’s ours. It’s our voices. It’s our achievement. It’s you. Get involved in European Youth Week through your local community.

HOW TO ORGANISE YOUR EVENT

  1. Think about a topic under the theme "Democracy and me" and a format for your event. It can be a discussion, a workshop, a presentation, a flash mob or even a marathon… anything!
  2. The event should take place between 29 April and 5 May (or as close to this week as possible);
  3. If needed, you can contact us and we can give you some ideas, advice or tips for your event;
  4. Once you are ready, register your event on the European Youth Portal;
  5. Promote it on social media with #youthweek, and don’t forget to tag us @eurodeskUK.
