At home in Europe: Accommodate international students! Recommendation & Good Practice Booklet

The booklet is the result of the HousErasmus+ two years project conducted by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), the European University Foundation (EUF), the Compostela Group of Universities (CGU) and the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe (UNICA) with the aim to map the current housing situation in Europe and offer a platform for exchanging experience and good practices between stakeholders. The booklet includes the results of a wide range of research activities to create a comprehensive overview of how students, student organisations, higher education institutions, housing providers and policymakers perceive the situation. The most pressing issues highlighted in the report are the following: lack of awareness amongst stakeholders, need for more cooperation, lack of quality information, quality assurance, discrimination & fraud, financial burden, insufficient student housing, short-term accommodation, language barrier and cultural differences.
