There is a wide range of opportunities under Erasmus+ for youth organisations and groups working with young people. The next deadline to apply for funding is 26 April at 11.00am (UK time), make sure you fulfill the requirements before you apply. The Erasmus+ UK National Agency is supporting applicants through recording webinars, one-to-one phone sessions and guidance notes.

EuroApprentices is a European Network of Erasmus+ funded apprentices selected by National Agencies for Key Action 1 Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom. There is an open call for UK beneficiary organisations to apply and enable a participant from their project to become one of the first UK EuroApprentices: to share their individual success stories of learning mobility abroad, meet with other apprentices from across Europe and strengthen their identity as a European Network of peers.

The European Commission has launched Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange, described as the online version of Erasmus+. With a focus on inclusion and intercultural learning, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange aims to reach young people from different social backgrounds and provide an accessible way for them to improve their skills.

We are pleased to welcome the new team at Eurodesk UK. Eva de Luis joins as Eurodesk officer, with Katarzyna (Kaśka) Nowacka in the new role of Eurodesk assistant. Both Eva and Kaśka developed their respective passions for international adventure as participants in Erasmus+ funded projects. They each bring a wealth of experience from living and working in many different countries, in Europe and beyond, in the fields of education and youth.

On 14th September, the European Parliament adopted a Resolution on the future of the Erasmus+ programme, acknowledging the extremely positive impact the programme has had on the personal and professional lives of more than 9 000 000 participants.

The European Commission has launched the trial version of a new tool to support schools in using digital technologies: 600 schools from 14 countries have the opportunity to try the new 'SELFIE' tool in this pilot phase, before it is finalised and made available to interested schools in Europe in early 2018.

The Eurodesk position paper welcomes the European Solidarity Corps as an ambitious programme that aims to allow more opportunities for young people. However, Eurodesk is concerned about making sure all young people are informed about the opportunities offered and that they can benefit from quality placements (with measures before, during and after the mobility).
