On 27th September, the European Parliament Youth Intergroup hosted the event “Youth and Sport: Team-up for inclusive societies!”. Organised together with the Sports Intergroup, the European Youth Forum and Engso Youth, the event aimed at discussing ideas, presenting projects relating to the importance and promotion of the practice of sport by youth and showing through different projects the strong role of sports in the inclusion of young people.

On 28th September 2016, Ministers of the Council of Europe adopted Recommendation CM/Rec(2016)7 on Young People’s Access to Rights. The Recommendation highlights that access to rights requires young people, youth organisations and youth workers to know about the rights that young people should be able to enjoy and what they can do if their rights are violated.

On 28th September, the Budget Committee of the European Parliament reversed all the cuts proposed by the EU Council to the draft 2017 EU budget.

The European Commission and the Council of Europe have launched "iLEGEND, Intercultural Learning Exchange through Global Education, Networking and Dialogue" a new project which will strengthen global development education in EU member States by promoting dialogue, networking strategies, capacity building and exchange of good education practices.

Initiated by the project "EUth - Tools and Tips for Mobile and Digital Youth Participation in and across Europe" consortium, which is supported by the EU Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020, the survey deals with eParticipation initiatives, tools and potential all over Europe with a focus on youth.
