The European Commission has launched Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange, described as the online version of Erasmus+. With a focus on inclusion and intercultural learning, Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange aims to reach young people from different social backgrounds and provide an accessible way for them to improve their skills.

On 14th September, the European Parliament adopted a Resolution on the future of the Erasmus+ programme, acknowledging the extremely positive impact the programme has had on the personal and professional lives of more than 9 000 000 participants.

The European Commission has launched the trial version of a new tool to support schools in using digital technologies: 600 schools from 14 countries have the opportunity to try the new 'SELFIE' tool in this pilot phase, before it is finalised and made available to interested schools in Europe in early 2018.

The Eurodesk position paper welcomes the European Solidarity Corps as an ambitious programme that aims to allow more opportunities for young people. However, Eurodesk is concerned about making sure all young people are informed about the opportunities offered and that they can benefit from quality placements (with measures before, during and after the mobility).
