In 1993, ERYICA adopted the European Youth Information Charter which has since become a text of reference throughout Europe as a set of professional principles and guidelines for youth information and counselling work. A revised version of the core document has been approved, incorporating the Principles for Online Youth Information.
The Council of Europe has adopted a new Youth Strategy 2030. The document will provide policy guidance and a broad political roadmap, or mission statement, for the period 2020-30, and will be the framework within which the next five biennial Youth for Democracy programmes will be implemented.
